BurnCardBurn — 1987 Topps Complete Set — Barry Bonds ! Fantastic !

Since I started this project I’ve been noodling on the idea of how to use a table saw to cut baseball cards in half. It seemed challenging as well as a fun thing to do in support of reducing the number of baseball cards in circulation.

So I came up with the idea to build a Rip Box. The Rip Box is made of plywood and 2x4s. It has a housing that can hold a 800 count trading card box. After the trading card box is slid into the housing it is then completely encased by affixing  a top and bottom end. This holds the box in tightly so that we get a really clean cut.

I’m a pretty safe dude so I attached a long handle to guide the housing through the saw. It worked really well.

I’ll be on the lookout for more ideas in the power-tools category. If you have ideas let me know !
