It Starts At Home

This weekend I was looking for some 1987 Topps Baseball cards to burn and found just what I was looking for:  A binder that contained 50 cards of rookies, minor stars and few all stars.  All 50 cards were in plastic sheets and had been there for about 20 years.  This seemed like a great lot of cards to burn in my fire place.

I must have really liked Greg Swindell at one time since I found 11 of these protected by plastic. I think he won a bunch of games in 1988 or 1989 and I probably thought he was the next Dwight Gooden —  so I picked up a bunch.

We now come full circle. At one time I burned cash to acquire these cards. Now I’m just going to burn the cards.

Now the fire is fully raging. Bye-Bye cards.

Now the fire is fully consuming all 50 cards.

Greg Swindell Head Burning

49 1/2 cards fully burned. Only Greg Swindell's head is still recognizable -- but not for long.
